Does a sushi-cooking class and dinner at Haiku sound fun (and delicious)?  When was the last time you took part in a limo-ride/scavenger hunt through Columbus’ hot-spots?

Corey Montie, from Dimensional Entertainment came on the show this morning to talk about some of the cool events he puts on in our great city.

DJ for OSU Navy ROTC

January 25th, 2010 | By mdantzer-wvmx in Uncategorized | No Comments »

I had the honor to be the DJ for The Ohio State University Navy ROTC at the Columbus Athenaeum Friday evening.  The event was very formal and elegant, and full of ceremony, tradition, pomp & cimcumstance- swords drawn and all!

Then I busted out some Jay Z and everyone got down!

I want to provide DJ service for your next event, no matter how big or small, and no matter your budget.  Send me an email if you need The Ultimate DJ service in 2010.

Best New Restaurant of 2009: Dirty Frank’s

Last month we decided to do a “head count” of restaurants that have opened in 2009, and totaled up over 35 new additions to the Columbus dining landscape. Of those newcomers, Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace was overwhelmingly crowned as the best of the bunch in our reader’s poll. This fourth unique establishment in the Betty’s Family of Restaurants got their Downtown doors opened on July 1st, and spent the last half of 2009 slinging hot dogs into our hearts.

Top 10 Best New Restaurants of 2009:

  1. Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace
  2. Barrio
  3. Skillet
  4. Level Dining Lounge
  5. Third and Hollywood
  6. Graffiti Burger
  7. Five Guys Burgers & Fries
  8. bonopizza
  9. Dewey’s Pizza
  10. Basil Thai

Hey Kids- Travel Bingo!

January 4th, 2010 | By mdantzer-wvmx in Uncategorized | No Comments »

(This post will get me into trouble with Tracie, so what else is new…)

Did you travel during the holidays?

Tracie, my fiance bought Travel Bingo for Townes, my son.  She thought he would have fun playing this old-school game while we were on the road visiting family during the Christmas break.

Townes is eight…a total child of this millenium.  He is completely teched-out and wired ANYTIME he gets into my truck…Nintendo DS, 30 game cartridges, DVD player, headset, laptop…he set up my GPS for me.  He has more gadgets than the first Apollo astronauts.

So Travel Bingo was…a bit…slowwww for him.

He is crazy about Tracie so he indulged her by playing this quaint cardboard game for awhile…but I wonder what he made of the game?  What fun it must have been to be over-stimulated with all his high-tech computer games, then play a game where you stare out the window for 17 minutes until you see a barn.
