50 tips for surviving your worst workdays

Full disclosure statement:  I know the owner, and my first date with Tracie was here…I am kinda biased when it comes to this hot spot in the Short North…many happy memories here.

Still…I can say with total honesty that this place is terrific…the quintessential casual neighborhood bar restaurant.  My Local Dish partner, Bob Donegan is a new fan after his first -ever visit.  Bob had the Pesto Chicken sandwich based on the recommendation of our server and I had the Press Burger, a TASTY burger with fried egg- yum.

Vibe, service, food, value: great, great, great, great!

When I think good, down home cajun cookin’, I think…Gahanna??  Absolutely! 

I am a major fan of Bayou cuisine and J. Gumbo’s in the Creekside area of Gahanna does it right.  Bob Donegan, my co-reviewer had just returned from New Orleans and he gave J. Gumbo’s a big thumbs-up.  Big bowls of Gumbo, Jambalaya and Etouffee really hit the spot, and lunch for two was less than $15.00.  Clean store and terrific service.
